Teardrop cells
Definition:

 

Teardrop cells have a stem-shaped projection. They are also described as being pear-shaped.
Occurrence:
Teardrop cells typically occur in myelofibrosis, but are also found in other myelophthisic bone marrow diseases (metastatic tumor, granulomatous disease of the marrow).
