Agglutination
Definition:



 

Unlike rouleaux formation, in which erythrocytes lie in rows, in agglutination, the erythrocytes arrange themselves in amorphous associations. This phenomenon can be observed in the occurrence of cold agglutinins.
Occurrence:
Autoimmune hemolytic anemia with cold-reactive anti-erythrocytic autoantibodies.
